Firecracker is the first
track off the album and T-Bo comes from the get go with raw flow.
One you first hear Our Way which samples the old Show Laverne & Shirley
you most likely wouldn't be able to picture Bo on it. But I'm assuming
T-Bo wanted to mix things up for everyone, and its actually a nice track.
I'm feeling the 2nd verse the most which starts off with: "Yall used to
laugh when i told you I wanted to be a rapper, one day I'm gonna be famous
dawg, but T-Bo you just a cracker, well the application didn't say color
was a factor ha ha, who's laughing now you bastards?" The clean/edited
version is also included on the album.
Dat Thang was produced by Chaotic and features Mookie, the whole track is
catchy, wouldn't be surprised to hear it as a single. Mookie smokes the
2nd verse. Defiantly a tight track.
You Like The Way features Mista Matt and Mike da Hustla and has a really
catchy hook I'm sure folks will be signing along to, T-Bo wrecks right,
Matt drops second, I'm feeling his verse allot to, says some tight shit if
you catch it, mike's verse isn't on the same level as he normally is but
its still a pretty tight verse.
Sunshine was produced by Happy P who did a awesome job. The track is about
T-Bo's struggles, trials and tribulations and hard times while keeping his
head up to see the sunshine. T-Bo's verse is so real you cant help but
feel it. Lil Witness is also featured on the track and spits a ill verse
as well.
Jealousy features fellow no limit team mate Krazy. DJ Chill laced the
beat, which is. T-Bo rocks things straight gangster. Krazy and Bo take
turns on the chorus which goes:
Krazy: When they see us they going hate...
(whispers: its jealousy)
T-Bo bullets flipping out the k"
(whispers: its tragedy)
I think its one of the most gangster tracks of the album and as one of my
favorites.
Elbowin Hoes has the whole Deuce & A Quarter fam on it, everyone comes
nice both Mike and Mista Matt spit tight bars.
What Y'all Wanna Do? features B-Rock goes second and spits a real nice
verse. The beat is hard to explain, the chorus sounds kind of like a
dinosaur or something in the background or something, I dunno. Tight track
though.
When Times Get Hard is another nice reality track with vocal by Delvin
Wright. Bo again says some really true and tight shit like this excerpt
from his verse "You live in the hills you thinking shits all fine, you
aint got no fucking problems here you can borrow mine, cuz all white
people, trust me aint got it good, and all black people dont live in the
hood, just like all white kids don't end up doctors and lawyers, and all
black kids don't end up hustlaz and ballers, that's just a bunch of
bullshit the feed you on tv" Vocal's go along great with the track which
is another one of my favorites.
Throwed In the Game features Max Minelli and was on third world part one.
T-Bo pops it off and keeps the head bobbin on thru followed by Max Minelli
who also wrecks a hot verse.
Ha,Ha,Ha, at first sounds like a I.C.P. track or something... I actually
like the track though, its about all the shit people talk, from hating or
rumors, etc. and how Bo thinks its all just funny and sets them straight.
Bass Heavy does the beat, I'm feeling the way he mixed the laughing in the
background to go with the track.
Dirt Road which features Lil Witness & Mike da Hustla was also on south
coast coalition's third world part 2... doesn't bother me any though, cuz
it was one of my favorite tracks off that's album as well, the beat has a
rustic western vibe. Lil Witness, Mike and Bo all come hard, the vocals on
the chorus were done by a local female in B.R. and go with the track
nicely the song is simply flawless.
Hustler like dirt road can also be found on south coast coalition's third
world part 2 along with allot more hot tracks so make sure to cop that as
well if you haven't already. The vocals on the chorus are done by Lamar
Batiste with Bo spelling hustler out in a chant form. Bo comes hard as
usual, T-Bo's style is hard put into words so if you haven't heard
anything from him yet get your hands on something.
White boys which is one of T-Bo and SCC's earlier hits can be found on the
album too, still a banger to this day though and wont disappoint any new
fans as all of Deuce & A Quarter comes 100% hard.
Hard Like Guitars is absolutely my favorite track off the album. The track
is crunk n buck all the way thru, T-Bo spits nothing but raw gangster ish
on this one. The instant you head the song you just feel like fighting
this track will be getting folks stomped on the dance floor at clubs soon
I'm sure.
Deuce & A Quarter Album Snippets can be found at the end of the album. The
selection of snippets is good, but i have had a chance to hear the full
tracks in person and there all hot so look forward to that. These white
boys doing the damn thang.
There's plenty of grade a content thru out the album. I don't usually give
5 out of 5's but I'm going to this time. T-Bo's style and approach cant be
compared to anyone else he does himself, I'm not saying there isn't others
out there not doing the same, just that its refreshing to see a cracker
put it don't hard and not bite anyone in the process. Also look forward to
a interview with Deuce & A Quarter with T-Bo, and exclusive photos from
the White Boys Cant Rap Tour soon. |
