White Boy is the first track is about stak
coming up and being hated in the rap game with lyrics such as "hear what
they say? it couldn’t be done I went from murder dawg to vibe yeah I'm the
one the only one who held it down for lower class, before it was cool to be
white trash" and a chorus that goes "white boy cracker hoochie wetdo damn
doe evil blue eyed devil pale faced I'm proud to be that dude make up some
more shit to be white boy ill be that too" the beat is tight and stak rocks
this one on through.
In Here, sounds like something that might have been produced by
timberland... the beat that is. The flow is strictly Haystak's style
branded, it starts off average but toward the end of the track the flavor
picks up and should have your head bumping by the end.
Dirty Dirty is a slow, reminiscing type beat, now you’d think it would be
about the south being the title but the track is actually about how Haystak
has put in his fair share of work to make it to where he is, hasn’t gave up
and wont, the flow is pretty nice considering I can relate to it but its a
nice track to bump if your chilling or whatever.
You Got Money is one of the more fast paced tracks from the album, stak
actually is one of the only rappers that can bring different paces, styles
and topics to there flow and still do it with little error, decent flow and
another one that just might leave your head knobbing.
Different Kinda Lady is a slow beat dedication to his mother stak comes with
allot of heart on this track about how mother left him and his grandparents
raised him... good story telling flow.
Cool Peoples is another dedication type track about all of his friends that
stuck with him through everything and what they mean to him and what real
friends truly are, the chorus is done tight with some vocals... cooool
peoples... some lyrics from this cut go "the ones that you lost along the
way but found they way back the ones that had love for j before he was
haystak the ones that will watch your back while you drunk in the club...
come to your girls and get you to from ah. Shhh the ones that will always be
behind you when you get the big head they going to be there to remind you
where you came from and who you really is... the ones that been there since
you was Lil kids"
Banging is one of the more gangster type tracks featuring Quanie Cash it
starts off with Haystak's elonged soouthsiide, Quanie comes hard with 2
verse's along with stak I wouldn’t be surprised to hear this jam up in the
club, the chorus is tight, I'm feeling this one.
Tonight’s the Night is about stak's death... which hasn’t happened yet. But
stak does a sort of just in case track shouting out his people and how we
all going to die and he's done what he's come to do, the track is tight
though despite my somewhat confusing description of it.
Pit Bull is a skit of a parody of the crocidile hunter, except it’s done in
the city and with a pit bull instead of a crocodile, actually pretty funny.
Killa Man Crew features Raw One, I will say staks first verse is a Lil hard
to understand and in some points is annoying but he comes back in his
second. The beat and all is still tight though, I'm just not feeling this
one all the way.
Fucked Up holds a MIA, Slip n Slide type of beat I could picture Trick Daddy
on, its straight up about being fucked up the title says it all from
everything to overdosing to being gone on drank or pills, some of the stuff
he says is pretty tight such as "I was rolling like Michelins heard you
talking I just wasn’t listening."
Life with No Crime is a reminiscing type track about hard times and all, the
beat goes hard with it, I'm feeling this, there’s a few slow type tracks
about mushy stuff but his two previous albums didn’t have too much of it, so
it’s nice to see him bring it to this album.
We Get Them is a hot beat, the chorus is perfectly I sync with the beat and
rides clean, the track is about how Haystak and his family get everything
sooner then everything like music or clothing, and receive special attention
and all, pretty much a bragging track but stak comes hard and rips the whole
thing.
Run Duck Hide has a funny skit at the begging you’ll have to peep for your
self, stak comes with his average flow for the first verse but the chorus
has some stomping in the background and is tight as a mf, one of the more
crunked tracks from the album.
Talking Bout Nothin is about stak way of showing appreciation to his
grandfather who passed away who pushed him to get going and keep going and
also raised him. Haystak actually had a related song on his previous album
titled "Love you like" from "Car Fulla White Boys".
You Cant Stop it is one of the more riding type of beats, stak comes hard
with his lyrics and address's the issue about how his manager was stabbed at
another white rapper Bubba Sparxx birthday back in march of 2002 in Athens
Georgia.
Oh My God features Bubba Sparxx this is probably the hardest white rapper
collab in awhile just add Paul Wall, Bukshot, White Dawg, S.C.C., and T-Bo,
but it already features some other white rappers which I haven’t heard of
until now but surprisingly are rather tight and crunk, bubba comes hard
along with stak and C.W.B. which stands for crazy white boys, stak
represents hard and full, got to respect the fact that he does have skills.
I waited a long time for this album to come out and it was well worth the
wait I was stuck listening the tracks he was featured on since his last
album which include Bukshot and Gangsta Blac. This whole album is off the
hook and I would recommend it to any down south listener. Make sure you go
to the mall or whatever and cop this one. Haystak has got to be one of the
best MC's out there and has allot of skill all of us at DSR are looking
forward to his next release. I'm going to give "The Natural" a
rather high
score which is 4.9 out of 5 and it’s well deserved. |
