Bubba Sparxxx the Georgia based rapper came out of the depths of his own struggle against his career. A rapper in overalls is hard to get used to but you might want to do that now as Sparxxx is back for another CD. He asked himself why would people want another album by him or why did he have any meaning in hip hop. Through those two questions he fired himself up enough to complete his second album Deliverance. The country feel is one not too many hip hop listeners will be used to. Adding funky guitars and sounds from down country hoe-down into beats Timbaland created bangers. The first song on the CD really says what he needed to say which is A lot of yall was thinking that Bubba would disappear as many listeners put him down as a one hit wonder. Bubba which is far from a one hit wonder sets off the album country and ends the album country. Although songs like Jimmy Mathis and Deliverance show more country sides of this Georgia rapper a song like She Tried show his more caring and loving soul. Southern hospitality is two words that could explain that song as he works the kicks and snares into a song in which he says he's sorry to his ex girlfriend. Lines like So then you hide away just to try to find your way and even the chorus I guess I gotta hide away, far away, Cause I gotta find a way, to find my way in the song Deliverance show his own struggle with himself and his career as after his debut CD he retreated back to Georgia to find himself. Timbaland couldn't have done better on the beats and production and Bubba Sparxxx himself couldn't have improved more on the flow and lyrics. If you down with the new south then you are definitely down for this CD. As I give it a 5 out of 5.
